The Cambridge log cabin built by Hochstetler is a perfect design that is welcoming, open, and modern with the hints of rustic style that you love. Built on a hill, the walkout basement on the side adds even more space to the floor plan.

The front porch is a welcoming space with plenty of room for your favorite rocking chair or a small porch swing. I love that it wraps around the side of the home with an open deck that is adjacent to the great room. This makes for an ideal open space to relax or even throw a weekend party or barbecue event!

The green roof is also found on the window and door trim. Below you can see that this porch is wide enough to hold a picnic table, and would be a great place for your grill or smoker for easy access through the French doors.

Of course, while we focus on the cabin builds, you cannot ignore the beauty of the landscape and views around this home. I love this deck and all that it shows out back.

Inside the home, an open floor plan greets you with a living space around the great room windows and sidewall holding a gorgeous stone fireplace with a log mantle. This is ideal for cozying up with a good book or movie on a weeknight.

Behind the living space is this nice-sized dining table with benches on two sides. It makes for a perfect formal dining table but is simple and rustic enough to be great for family meals or even for playing a board game with the kids.

The kitchen is just behind the dining table, and stairs to the basement and above to the second floor are to the right. I love the addition of the bar on this side of the kitchen. It is ideal for a breakfast nook for the kids! Of course, through the door at the back of the kitchen, you have additional space with a bathroom and storage.

Stainless steel appliances make the kitchen modern and perfect for the home cook or chef who likes to entertain. I love the extra-large range with 6 burners and a large oven.

The main floor bedrooms are cozy and open. Ideal for a master bedroom, kids, or guest room. Windows on all sides really add natural light and make it feel comfortable and welcoming.

Additional bedrooms are simple in style but beautiful and open. There is plenty of room for your queen bed and bedside table or even a chest of drawers.

I love how these rooms have such beautiful doors that open up into the hall. This room in particular is a bit smaller than others, but still beautiful and welcoming.

And other options such as this one below, show more of the open bedroom space with windows and room to move around a bit more.

The bathrooms are simple but beautiful with gray trim and counters alongside the light wood walls. Simple means easy to maintain and I love the wire rack for holding linens.

The shower is on one side with a toilet on the other side in this bathroom. A nice little private nook away from the main space.

Upstairs there are nice large spaces such as this lofted bedroom for the kids. Bunk beds are perfect here and I love the little play space by more of those classic trapezoid windows!

Another nice large open space in the second floor lofted space has room for the bench seat under the dormer window and nice little cubbies under the eaves. I love this space!

Upstairs, the bathrooms match the rest of the home with the same basic additions that are perfect for day to day use.

Last but not least in this home is the basement. A walkout basement is always a plus, and this one is setup to be ideal for a little living room or den space. Cozy sofas and a wall-mounted television are just part of the appeal here.
