Sometimes the basics are the best. This Satterwhite cabin build is the ideal family home or a great retreat location with room for everyone. From the wrap around porches to the large bedrooms with multiple custom made bunk beds, this home is just waiting for the kids and family to arrive.
There aren't a lot of details on this cabin, but sharing the images for a visual tour is a great way to give you inspiration for your own unique build. Some of the things I love most about this are the true rustic additions.
You can see below the stacked stone column foundation below the porch. It is surprisingly sturdy, but adds a true rustic look to the home. Then, you can see the gorgeous woodwork on the outside, a stone chimney, and modern metal roofing create the classic log cabin in the woods that you've always dreamed of having.
One of the greatest things about this home is the location. The stunning views around the home are almost as important as the home itself. Just look at that pond behind the home and the gorgeous gazebo that matches the custom log home.
Just look at this! Such a gorgeous extension of the home for entertaining or relaxing. I can imagine fishing off the dock with the kids, or enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning under the shade of the gazebo while you watch the sunrise.
Even the back of this home is gorgeous! The porches wrap all the way around the home and then extend down to the back yard and out to the pond. There are stairs leading down on both sides, plus a walk out basement giving it the perfect style for relaxing days enjoying nature.
Inside the home includes both modern and rustic looks. The kitchen is a stunning corner space with beautiful wood cabinets and stainless steel appliances. I absolutely adore the wide counters and this layout allowing for you to entertain guests at stools around the edge of the room while preparing a meal. Plus, that countertop bar is ideal as a buffet for food when guests are visiting.
Inside the bedrooms you will find the beautiful wood paneling coupled with log beams and windows showcasing the views outside. Plus, as in the master bedroom, a fireplace with beautiful stonework that is a perfect match for the rustic look of the home.
In other bedrooms you have simple layouts like this with bunk beds to sleep 6 to 8 people easily. The home was designed for family gatherings, and this is ideal. Plus, you have unique additiosn like that log beam against the wall that almost feels like a tree is growing right in the home with you.
The bathrooms are no different in their unique beauty. This one in particualr includes a clawfoot bathtub in one corner that is ideal for soaking. Plus a large and beautiful cabinet for linen storage next to the wall-mounted sink. It's a luxury oasis in the midst of a rustic space.
