When you hear the words, "cabin in the woods", the last thing that comes to mind is luxury, but this home is going to disprove that immediately. When it comes to beauty and luxury, this Cabin in the Woods showcases both seamlessly all while staying true to the log cabin design you know and love.
The outside is a simple sprawling design similar to many ranch-style homes. An attached carport leads into a garage. The combination of log work and stonework on the outside of the home builds a sturdy and lovely home with flowing open spaces and tons of beautiful nooks inside and outside.
The Cabin in the Woods is a three-level home with a walkout basement and a combination of both covered and open porches and decks. Plus, a stone pathway leads from the basement back up to the main level easily.
If you like to swim, look no further than the inground pool off the back of the home. It includes a private fence and a covered seating area to make the ultimate pool party location just outside your home!
Inside the cabin, a sprawling open concept floor plan leads from one room to the other. The living space has a gorgeous fireplace against one wall with two other walls filled with windows bringing in natural light. In the background, you have an open archway right into the dining room and kitchen.
Along the hall, you have a deck, storage cabinet, and a chaise lounge with walls of wood and stone on both sides. A nice open space for an office or reading nook that is easily accessed by the rest of the home through stone and wood-covered arches.
Through one archway is the large modern kitchen. Light wood cabinets create a great space for storing all of your utensils, dinnerware, and cookware, with appliances, seamlessly added. Plus, a curved counter doubles as a breakfast nook or bar with the dining table in the background for more formal meals. All of this leads right out to the separate deck and patio just outside the kitchen doors.
Other spaces along the back half of the home include this private office with a stunning built-in deck that is set up for the dream work-from-home space.
In one nook, you find a gorgeous laundry space with an open counter above the washing machine and dryer. Storage and shelves nearby make it easy to keep everything on hand without sacrificing style and beauty.
Downstairs, the basement level in this home is one of beauty. I absolutely love the combination of log and stone walls down here. It's one large open space with half walls separating the areas. Below is the living space or family room with sofas, chairs, and a television.
Around the corner is an at-home gym that includes a variety of equipment plus chairs and a wood stove alongside a television.
In the bedrooms, you find even more lovely spaces with a combination of log walls with painted drywall and each room housing a ceiling fan, beautiful windows of the property outside, and private closet storage space.
Stone walls are accents I love near the lower level of the home and find really add to the style of the spaces.
My favorite space is the master bedroom with a sofa on one wall and a private door leading outside on the other. This room even has the vanity and sink in the bedroom with a bathroom attached to the side.
Bathrooms in this home contain a variety of styles such as this simple smaller space with just the basics.
Or the updated space of the master bathroom that includes dual vanities, a stone shower in the corner, and gorgeous arched doorways that remind me of the hobbit homes of the Shire in The Lord of the Rings.
But, if you are like me and nothing beats a bubble bath at the end of the day, then the copper soaking bath in this bathroom is going to be your favorite in the entire home.
This beauty follows throughout in every bathroom with showers and baths featuring stone and woodwork along with extra seating, shelves, and storage.
Even the smaller bathrooms like this one have that extra special look of the rustic cabin in the woods.
Every space of this log cabin is useful but also beautiful. Whether it is the open patio by the pool or the outside kitchen for weekend barbecues, you'll find everything you need in luxury.
