One of my favorite things about a log cabin is that you have so much potential to make it fit your family's needs while keeping the rustic look. The Eagle Prow is a great example of how you can take a classic cabin build and turn it into a family home or vacation destination.
The circle drive leads to the front of this cabin with a simple design including the attached garage and a simple front stoop with a small covering. The back of the home, however, has that stunning modern cabin style of d-link corners and a great room wall of windows.
Plus this open deck out back is truly a great expansion of the living space. It has plenty of room for chairs, loungers, or even a picnic table and leads out to the stone space in the backyard with a fire pit and additional seating.
The glass French doors off the great room lead right out to the deck with this lovely seating area. I love the idea of a table on the porch for enjoying a meal outside in the summertime.
Inside the Eagle PRow, you find all of those extra rustic elements we know and love in cabins. The entry door goes right into a space with tables and shelves that include rustic pieces. My favorite addition is the wood sculpted ends on the stairs leading both down to the basement and up to the top floor lofted spaces.
Inside the entry, you have a lofted second floor above as well as the cozy nook by the fireplace that is ideal for a family room. They have this setup with a wardrobe-styled entertainment center in the corner that easily hides the TV away when not in use.
The cozy nook is right at the edge of the great room walls that lead out to the deck. The sofas and fireplace sit on one side, while the dining table is just behind it. This open floor plan is ideal for entertaining.
And behind both, just inside and to the left of the front entry is the kitchen. This corner space is a nice little kitchen with plenty of storage and counter space. I love the glass doors on the cabinets, but especially that the cabinet doubles as a bar. It's a perfect breakfast nook!
While the table here is large enough for a formal dinner party, it is also convenient enough to be used on a daily basis for family meals.
The bedrooms in this home are also nice and comfortable and large. The top floor of the home includes this bedroom shown below that has room for two matching full-sized beds and space to spare for chairs and clothing storage. I really love this space for kids or guests visiting.
Of course, I have to say the master bedroom is my favorite. Located behind the living space with the other side of that fireplace in the bedroom, it is a cozy and romantic space that includes an ensuite bathroom and a private door out to the back deck and yard.
On the other side of the home is another bedroom with a private door that is a comfortable space with a large bed, seating, and clothing storage.
The bathrooms in this home are simple and comfortable with light wood cabinets and white countertops. Whether it is a bath or a shower you want, this floor plan provides you options.
Of course, the stand-out feature in the Eagle Prow home is the basement. THis log cabin basement is unlike most with a large open space ideal for entertaining.
One wall of the basement has cabinets and a mini wet bar alongside the big screen telebision. This is an ideal space for inviting guests for game night, a good movie, or a game of pool.
Downstairs there are multiple places for seating including benches, stools, chairs, and a sofa, but you'll also notice doors on the side of the basement that lead into a bathroom and bedroom that makes this a perfect guest suite.
I love the stone accents and the decor in this room of the home. It's definitely the space I would spend more time with my family.
Just look at that unique shelf with the stone and log beside each other. It's not just aesthetic but functional. And you get a small peak through that door at bunkbeds made perfect for a kid's bedroom!
