If you've been considering a log cabin purchase, but want to check out how it feels before you buy, then renting a cabin is a great choice. There are tons of wonderful rental options available, and this one dubbed, "Pappy's Cabin" looks like a rustic cabin you'd find in the woods, but inside is a stunning modern home.
This beautiful rustic-looking cabin has a lovely view outside, but the inside is what will draw you in. With room for 2 to 4 guests, it is an ideal family vacation rental. It includes 2 queen bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.
The main floor is a gorgeous open living room with a kitchen in the background. One of the bathrooms is on the main floor with the second on the lower level alongside the two queen bedrooms. Plus, the backside of the home includes the covered deck with a hot tub that is accessible from both bedrooms!
The front porch creates a welcome that appeals to everyone. It includes a porch swing, rocking chair, and a table for the ideal place to sit and relax with coffee in the morning or an evening nightcap.
Just inside the front door you have the spiral staircase to the lower level on the right of this image. It's protected with railings on all sides for safety if you have kids around but is also convenient and easy for everyone to access as needed.
The living room on the main floor is nice and open with cozy chairs and tables for storage and even just kicking back and relaxing.
In the corner of the cabin is a gas fireplace set into a gorgeous faux rock wall. It's a safer option for a rental but still gives that fireside comfort you desire.
And on the side of the room across from the living space is a gorgeous rustic dining table with a unique antler chandelier above.
While it's just a 4 person table, it is large enough to be comfortable. Definitely a family meal not formal dining experience.
The corner kitchen is open to the rest of the home with light wood cabinets and stainless steel appliances.
It's not excessively large but is plenty big for anything you might wish to prepare. The full-sized appliances are perfect for a family vacation here.
The bedrooms downstairs both have their own private sliding glass door out to the deck with a hot tub. The rooms themselves are spacious and have lovely rustic decor.
Through the door you can see the opening to the downstairs bathroom and the deep closet for your luggage.
I love the way they created a work of art on the wall using snow skis! Unique and functional!
And this room, like the other, has a unique fixture over the bed that features the rustic elements of the home and style.
The main floor bathroom is a full bathroom tucked just behind the kitchen. It includes a shower and bathtub combination and plenty of room for linens and toiletries.
Small but functional, it's more than enough for your day to day needs.
Out the back of the main level is a covered deck with another table and chairs.
This is a great place for an afternoon of relaxing with a good book. It's large enough for the whole family to not feel cramped, but still small enough to not overwhelm the home.
And I especially love the addition of this extra table outside. You could easily enjoy a "picnic" in the gorgeous sunshine with this.
Of course, downstairs on the bottom level is the hot tub with room for all four people to relax. I love this year-round, but especially on those cold snowy winter days!
